About Us
Hi, I'm Steve, I have lived in Wisconsin my whole life and having grown up outside Onalaska I spent a lot of time on the back waters of the Mississippi river hunting and fishing as well as romping around the deep coulees. As a child I knew I wanted to work in the outdoors and my parents fostered that idea through camping trips and summer nature programs, as I got older my focus on trees, the natural world and forestry got stronger. The present day is no different, my spare time is spent searching for lonely trout stream, skiing at one of the local ski hills, rock climbing at Devil’s Lake State Park, and camping with my partner Anna and our 3 dogs.
Meet Steve
My journey to becoming a consultant was not done overnight. All in One Forestry is a young business with years of passion. I started working at a sawmill in Southwest Wisconsin after graduating with a degree in forest management from Stevens Point in 2015. As an industrial forester I was involved through the whole process of what it takes for a tree to go from standing in the forest to being turned into a board. My job was to buy timber and set up timber harvests in order to provide logs for the sawmill. This gave me the opportunity to meet many landowners, loggers, and other foresters throughout the Driftless region of Wisconsin. After my time with the sawmill I wanted to continue my gain of knowledge about the forest industry, but instead of going back to school I decided to work as a logger, learning the ins and outs of what it takes to get trees from the stump to the roadside for the log trucks. I find this work satisfying and challenging, while working in the Driftless comes with many trials and tribulations the rewards of seeing a healthy and flourishing forest make it all worth it in the end.
